CALM Therapy Circle Fixed.png

More than just a name, CALM reflects how I work. It comes from my initials, Cecily Alexandra Lyddon Mattock, and represents the kind of space I aim to offer - steady, supportive, and free from pressure.

Therapy with me is not about rushing change or forcing outcomes, but allowing growth to develop at a pace that feels right for you. I work in a calm, consistent way, bringing focus, warmth, and careful listening to each session. Creating a space where you feel safe and able to speak openly is central to my practice. My approach is person-centred, meaning I see you as the expert in your own life, and our work together is shaped by your experiences and what matters most to you.

I welcome you to bring whatever feels important into our sessions - whether that’s a specific concern, something that’s been on your mind, or simply how you’re feeling in the moment. There’s no set agenda, and you don’t need to come with a clearly defined problem. I see therapy as a flexible, collaborative space where we can explore what matters to you at your own pace, allowing the process to unfold in a way that feels natural, supportive, and meaningful.

Rather than trying to “fix” anything, I focus on understanding your perspective and supporting you to make sense of things in your own way. The aim is to provide a space where you can reflect, explore, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

I’m a therapist with both professional training and lived experience of mental health struggles such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and anxiety. Having navigated these challenges personally, I bring a deep empathy and practical understanding to my work. I know first-hand how frightening and isolating these struggles can feel, and I’m committed to offering therapy that is compassionate and grounded in real understanding.
